Libertarian Party of Texas (LPT) officials are planning a three-month, 24-city tour through Texas to recruit local candidates and support their county parties in the 2010 elections.  The public and the media are invited to attend.

"It's time to stop complaining about politics as usual.  You can run for office yourself," said Robert Butler, Executive Director of the Libertarian Party of Texas.  "It's fun, and it's easier than you think!" 

AUSTIN, TEXAS - November 4, 2009 - Independent voters revealed their dissatisfaction with the two-party system in the voting booth yesterday, according to exit polls.

AUSTIN, TEXAS – October 28, 2009 – The Executive Committee of the Libertarian Party of Texas met by teleconference last night to vote on formal positions for the proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution on the ballot this Tuesday.


The Texas Tour picks up steam as LPT Executive Director Robert Butler and Jeff Daiell, a Libertarian candidate for Governor, visit Midland, Lubbock, and Amarillo.

Robert Visits Tyler, Henderson, and Ore City


 
I drove up to Henderson, Ore City, and Tyler this weekend.  Rusk County (Henderson) and Upshur County (Ore City) are starting new county affiliates.  I hope that my visit will help them get under way!
 

Robert and Pat Visit Bryan Texas, Jeff Daiell Files Candidate Application



Jeff Daiell took the oath and filed his application today to be a Libertarian candidate for Governor.

Robert Butler and Patrick Dixon received a warm welcome from the Brazos County Libertarians in Bryan.  We met a few Aggies, and had a great time at C & J Bar - B - Que.
