Robert and Pat's Excellent Adventure videos, update 11/14/09

I am finally getting my videos posted before our final weekend in Dallas/Fort Worth.  It has been an excellent adventure with a lot more people coming out to check out the Libertarian Party. We hope candidate recruiting meets or exceeds our expectations.

Here is Robert in action in Kerrville:

The Texas Tour picks up steam as LPT Executive Director Robert Butler and Jeff Daiell, a Libertarian candidate for Governor, visit Midland, Lubbock, and Amarillo.

Waco's Heart of Texas Rodeo is Firing up Libertarians

Waco Libertarians have a World's Smallest Political Quiz at the Heart of Texas Rodeo Booth.  Special thanks to Neill Snider for sponsoring and organizing!  We hope to quickly build a larger presence in Waco.  If you'd like to meet the McLennan County Libertarians, visit their Meetup page.

Robert Visits Tyler, Henderson, and Ore City

I drove up to Henderson, Ore City, and Tyler this weekend.  Rusk County (Henderson) and Upshur County (Ore City) are starting new county affiliates.  I hope that my visit will help them get under way!

Robert and Pat Visit Bryan Texas, Jeff Daiell Files Candidate Application

Jeff Daiell took the oath and filed his application today to be a Libertarian candidate for Governor.

Robert Butler and Patrick Dixon received a warm welcome from the Brazos County Libertarians in Bryan.  We met a few Aggies, and had a great time at C & J Bar - B - Que.

Robert and Pat's Tour through Houston and Galveston

LPT Executive Director Robert Butler Invited to Del Valle High School, Gives Quiz

I was invited by Sarita Hayward, a high school student at Del Valle High School, to present the Libertarian Party to her government class.  We took the World's Smallest Political Quiz and talked about what Libertarianism means for young voters.

Butler Visits El Paso Libertarians on Texas Tour

I want to thank Paul and Stephanie Gamber and Bill Collins for sponsoring a full three day El Paso Libertarian Conference.  We had a great weekend.  The El Paso Libertarians are now fully organized and know how to get active in their county politics.

I look forward to greatly expanded Libertarian presence in El Paso!!

San Antonio Tour Stop

As we pulled into the Longhorn Cafe, I was reminded of the old sci-fi classic "Dr. Who".  The restaurant looked incredibly small on the outside, but expanded greatly once you entered.

We had a sizeable crowd of 30 to 35 Libertarians.  A number of them quickly signed up to be candidates.  We had two guest appearances by Congressional Candidate Jim Strohm and Gubernatorial candidate Jeff Daiell.

Kerrville Tour Stop

Pat and I got up early this Saturday morning for a pleasant drive through the Hill Country to Kerrville.  We arrived a little early, so we visited the Guadalupe River and scouted a potential convention location.

We had a great audience in Kerrville.  They are very eager to form an official county party.  They started a meetup.com site and they will be meeting monthly.

We also had a reporter from the Kerrville Daily attend our event.  She wrote a nice story about us.
